Because lemon juice acts as a detoxifying agent, it helps the body flush out the toxins.
Due to our modern way of living, the liver can be filled with heavy metals, environmental pollutants and other toxins.
Therefore it may have a hard time processing additional substances like sugars, fats, alcohols and manufactured foods.
As a matter of fact, when the liver is stressed, it is less effective at hormone regulation which can result in chronic acne and blemishes.
With this in mind, sipping on your delicious glass of lemon goodness could be an easy way to support your liver.

Another way lemon water helps the skin is through its help in the creation of collagen production.
Collagen is vital for the your skin, muscles and bones health.
In fact, it attributes to strength, elasticity, and the turnover of dead skin cells too.
Therefore skin with high collagen levels looks and feels both healthier and more vibrant.
